Anyone have Glowshift Gauges?
#12
guys, sorry to say that the glowshift gauges are JUNK ! .. Had some in my diesel - had ISSPRO for the pillar for the common 3 .. then added 3 of the glowshifts overhead for fuel pressure, coolant temp, and volt meter.
First off, they never kept their color memory after a key off / on cycle. They always defaulted to blue - wired up exactly as directed. Secondly, about 3 weeks into it, the fuel pressure gauge just quit working - sender was fine.
the other thing I noticed was that in the overhead area, even though it's dark up there, they are hard to see during the day.
for those of you that like the NEXXUS gauges, I loved that concept. ISSPRO just came out with the performax line that follows the main control module setup. I just installed 7 of them - boost, pyro, trans temp, coolant temp, fuel pressure, oil pressure, oil temp. They're cheaper than the Autometers as well.
Granted the glowshifts are cheap so you don't really lose much money if you don't like them. However you also have to install them, then tear them back out if they don't work out, to then re-install other gauges.
If I had it to do all over again, I wouldn't waste my time on the glow shift.
