Default Anyone have non run of the mill mufflers?

Hi. I'm new to the ite but have been reading for a while.

Anyway, most people have the usual axle-backs on thier car.

Does anyone have Edelbrock, Flowtech, Jardine, Stillen, Summit, Jegs, MBRP, Stainless Works, IMCO, Billy Boat, GMS, etc? If so, what do they sound like? If not, what have you heard? Thanks.

I am VERY tempted to try the Edlebrocks. I put their UCA and PHB on my car and was very impressed with them... enough to wonder about their axlebacks...

I've heard the Summit... sounds not too bad, but they drone. Not as bad as stingers do, but enough to turn me off.

Thumbs up

MBRP best kept secret on this forum. Deep rumble with no drone. Polished stainless steel with 4 inch slash cut tips. Sound track on their website, lifetime warranty. Lethal performance has them with free shipping. I shopped for about 8 months, listening to you tube and advice on this forum and others and took a chance on mbrp and do not regret it.

I had a Summit Racing axle-back. A little deeper, a little louder, a little more drone. Sold those, got some stingers. liked em but got married and had a kid, and my wife (and my new-born, from what I can tell hate the drone. So now I have GTA's but I'm getting tired of them. I want to get a high flow cat xpipe and another set of mufflers, but i want to be different. might try the edelbrock's/. supposed to have sound deflection technology..

Real men don't use mufflers. They run only headers and shift at 5500 RPM every time. No more no less.

And they make sure to drive by the police station to and from work. Real men's work, not that nancy boy stuff.

i honestly went to midas, bought two 4" chrome tips for like 35 or 40 each, then me and one of the guys there bent uptwo 2.5" exhaust tubes and welded the tips and a hanger on and then bolted them on, 190ish with tax.

Everything else is stock. My upgrades are in my sig. When im on the track, im very quiet. But when im on the road, its not too loud inside and when i roll down the windows it rips.

Steeda axlebacks here, I really haven't seen many with them and I really like them.
