Default Mustang vs. GTO shootout Gainesville raceway?

Anyone on here going to attend/race? I was racing a guy in a 04 cobra today and he asked me if i was going. I went last year, but just took pictures. I didn't know it was going to be a yearly thing and it looks like they have a full boat all ready.

November 1 at the Gainesville, FL raceway. Starts at 8:30am and $5 to watch. I will be taking pictures again it looks like.

I heard about this and was thinking about trying to race in it, but it looked like some real heavy hitters were racing, plus I think I was too late. I'll prob attend though and watch. It will give me a good time to scout out gainsville speedway so I can come up there another time and run. I need to get my damn clutch situation figured out and start working my way into the mid 11s.

He,he. I hit my 3-4 shift like a hot knife through butter today! The car really lurches forward shifting hard into 4th. With the stock clutch it didn't jump any at that speed, probably because it was slipping. I actually got to anxiously and shifted before my shift light went off.

It's amazing how the spec stage 2 works so well, but everyone seems to have problems with the 2+. I would really like to see a 2+ beside a 2, just to see the difference.

If you go, look for the vista blue gt with tinted windows and no spoiler.

The fastest GTO last year was low 11's I think, maybe a high 10 car. There were a lot of mustangs in the 10's and low 11's with one running 9's.

Yeah, my 2+ was just a bad experience all around. The stocker is doing fine for now, but if it gets too hot I will blow right though it shifting into 3rd or 4th. I can't wait to get to the track with something that can actually get all the power to wheels plus some good cold weather. If I go to the shoot out, I will be out in my redfire, lowered, but other than that looks pretty much stock including all stock exhaust (gotta love the sleeper look)

This is the club that hosts the event.

http://www.mmjax.com/

There was a 700+rwhp gt500 that backed out due to being sent overseas, that sucks.

modaddict should take a trip down there with The BEAST. That would make an interesting show.

Dang I am going to be out of town again during that. This looks like fun though.

Moose & American we should plan a Central FL Whipple Mustang meet

By my birthday (April) I should have my car "done" and we can have a track day at gainesville.
