I'm I/C, gettijng about 10.5 psi out of my 3.2" pulley. I would recommend I/C on anything above 7 PSI. It's just not worth the risk IMO to go non I/C above 7 PSI.
Another option of course, is meth injection. This can be used for track days if you want to swap pulleys and up the boost on those days only and still be safe.

Just get the intercooler no matter which kit you get. I pinched my heater line (going to the cabin) when installing my KB and if you wanted to put it in later you'll kick yourself for not doing it the first time. Trying to get in there without pulling everything off and worrying about your fenders again is not a fun time. I did it, but would recommend going IC from the get go.
