I had a Steeda inlet tube, too (the plastic one). Keep an eye out for the coolant hose that is just below the inlet tube. The tube rubs on it, I had a nice groove in my coolant hose after awhile. (And it started wearing against my PS reservoir, too, but I wasn't too worried about that, just the hose.)

I noticed a very slight difference from the stock one (I have an FRPP CAI) I eventually went to the Saleen tube, with a new custom dyno tune.

Ok, thanks I will keep an eye on it, appreciate the input.

sounds like you had the same setup as me. I have the steeda carbon fiber elbow with the frpp cai

steeda ftw

I agree, the Steeda intake is great. I have that along with a Brenspeed tune and 4.10's and I wouldn't change anything. Great throttle response and you get into the power band real quick. It suprises the unsuspecting GM drivers.

I have Steeda CAI als, but aren't the FRPP and Steeda the same ?
A friend of my commented after race day that my stang's intake sound was loud, you can hear that well from 200 feet away :)
I just told him that it's the blue filter there that makes the noise on WOT :D

But, couple of things there are that I'm not completely satisfied with Steeda elbow.
The rubbing against water hose is one and the installation to motor.
If you look at FRPP CAI with the FRPP elbow, the finish and installation is way better,
there you can see OEM quality.
