Cant get that musle car sound need help
I just had a O/R X pipe and i had the mac muffilers the Mac muffler where horrible with the o/r X in the higher RPM the muffiler would get a high pitch sound that sounded like a trumpet....... So i riped them off and put the stock muffiler back on that did make the car deeper but insidethe cabin it sound like a ricer.....idk why
I want a muffiler that is louder then the stock muffiler and also alot deeper. with the o/r X pipe.

honestly your problem lies within the X pipe. X piper is more higher pitch but you get more power while the H pipe is the deep rumble sound but dont get as much power as the X pipe. H pipe with mac muffler sound awesome, try and find a sound clip of it on youtube.

some of the only mufflers that i know of that get a lot deeper and get rid of drone are corsa, but there about $650 i think. Someone else my chime in, but ive used borla stingers, flowemaster and gta's and they all had some drone. People seem to say corsa dont have much drone but ive personally never heard them.

Don't worry about losing or gaing HP with midpipes because the lose or gain is minimal, + - maybe 2-3HP. X pipes will give you a higher pitch tine and h pipes will give you a deeper tone. I have been the 4 mufflers... Flowmaster(too mellow), slp LM's ( no muffler- sounds messy), borla stingers ( great muscle car sound but you get drone). I am currently running the pypes mid muffler and they have been my favorite. Nicest exhaust tone that I have heard out of all the mufflers ( nice rumble at idle, deep and smooth at crusing speeds, and has a nice open tone at higher rpms). They have minimal drone when compared to most systems and they are not as expensive as most systems, like $300. I am running my PMM with a prochamber and could not be happier. Also, the pypes mid muffler relocates the muffler to the mid section of the exhaust, eliminating the axleback. I think this gives the exhaust a more throaty open tone which an axleback can't give.
