Default FRPP "hot rod" cams

What were your gains and how much did they run installed? Were new valvesprings required?

I can't comment on gains (I don't have the cams) but you can use them with the factory valvetrain.

That's what I was interested to know. I'd like to swap cams but don't want to bother with valvesprings which is a separate project altogether.

No need to replace them. Ford engineered them so you didn't have to replace the springs. Are you doing the install yourself?

Seriously considering it. I've done everything else to the car except for gears and longtubes. No one has even touched it except for those two. I'll have to research and talk to vendors before I attempt but think it's something I can do myself. My mech/tuner is a short tow away if I need to...

Cams are a hard installation, even without replacing springs, etc. Make sure you know what you are getting into.

I may just hand it over to my tuner, since it will also most likely need a new tune. It's at the top of my "next mod" list and will probably get done before next spring.

Who is your tuner? Are they somewhere in Austin?

These are the ONLY guys to touch my car except myself. I trust them as much as any that has worked on my vehicles.

Oh yeah I've heard of these guys. Someone on this board pointed me to them a while back. Maybe it was you? LOL

I've heard good things about Henderson Performance Technologies in New Braunfels. http://www.hendersonperformance.com/
