break in period?

no break ins, gotta love it. i remember with my camaro i blew my engine and got a Jasper LT1 dropped in and i had like a 1500 mile break in period, which felt like an eternity...

I broke mine in on the autobahn with 9 miles on it going 149 (Damn Govenor)...

Flash and junk? Do you think your engine was made on the beach in India?

Oil just doesn't break down that fast and there are no random chunks floating around inside your engine.

My wifes Mini recommended service was at 15k miles. I tried getting them to do the oil change at 14k because we were about to go on a road trip and they laughed at me. They said don't worry even if you hit 20k and have a nice vacation.

People all still believe the hype from the 70's when they were just trying to sell more oil by telling everyone you had to get your oil changed every 3k. It's a crock. Relax people....

ill have piece of mind changing mine every 5k with full synthetic knowing i wont run into problems

Between 3k and 5k miles for me, and that recommendation is from a Ford service MANAGER.
