Yeah I'm thinking about LT's with a catted h-pipe... I'll probably have to get rid of my mid muffler system when I do it cause I hear that gets really loud...

Looking forward to some vids on yours!!! Are you going with the FRPP cams?

Yes, I'm going with FRPP hod rod cams. I wouldn't worry about your exhaust as long as you keep the cats (even hi-flows). It gets annoyingly loud with an off-road pipe and I didn't even notice the difference between them in terms of power output.

However, they dyno'd my car after going from the MAC axlebacks to the Pypes mid-muffler axleback and I picked up 6 RWHP with just the exhaust change alone! I also let the shop do my axleback install due to the fact that I wasn't sure I could get the overaxle pipe off with it on jackstands...

OK good to know... Guess I'll do what I was thinking and see how it sounds with the pypes MM system before I worry about changing that out.... Thanks!!

I would HIGHLY recommend you keep the pypes mm's. They sound great with longtubes and catted mid-pipe. If you try something else you'll find yourself keep going back to them.

Now if that guy irons out that under-car flowmaster 40 series project I may consider doing that, but until then I'll keep my pypes.

And thanks for your opinions and assistance. You kept me from making a $300 mistake!

well i would do it. I am going to be doing cmcv this winter and since you pointed out the poor fitment i would port match. make sure you dont remove too much and use a stone not a steel bit (it will eat too fast) and let me know how it goes. good luck
