Default Question on exhaust

I have an 05 GT and have changed my mind on installing Flows. I have an off-road x-pipe and was wondering if I installed the SLP Loudmouth system or the pypes muffler delete would that cause any damage to my engine. I have heard that if there was not enough backpressure that it could cause damage to the engine. Would having no cats and mufflers cause any damage? Has anyone done this before? Any input would be great.

Thanks,

What about boom tubes? Are they the same as loudmouths?

O/R X plus loudmoths equals a load exhaust that sounds like crap. I don't think boomtubes would sound much better. O/R X would sound good with a canister type muffler such as Bassani Race, Stingers, Corsas or Magnapacks.

I've never heard of the lack of backpressure hurting anything, but i have heard that when you go up hills it hurts power or something, im not sure if its true or why it would happen

Flowmaster 40's welded in the middle. That would sound sweet. That kind of setup already sounds good with cats but rather quiet. O/R should wake it up good.

That would mean you're burning oil. It has nothing to do with having no back-pressure.
