it's just useless without a tune. but if you're going to get a tune put in for 91, then start running it for about a week before hand so you can get the lower octane out of the car.

Who is going to do your tuning in CA?

Go ahead and start putting 91 in now.

I see both you and I agree on the tuning issue. Adam got almost 100 more HP with less boost than the previous tune.

im not sure if im going to dyno tune it. i got the twin turbo system from sts and they told me to email them some figures and theyd email me a good tune. i spent all my money on the system to dyno tune it right away. gas prices are looking good these days before the election =)

Okay, listen closely. . . STS has garbage tunes. They don't even have a dyno in their shop. Their tune is what I had when I first got my car. It was a dog off the line, had no timing and made crap power. Spend the money for a quality dyno tune, otherwise you will be chasing the power you desire with the canned tune.

Go to Adam at ST Motorsports in San Bernardino. He will play with the tune on your car until it is perfect. He will give a 100 octane tune and 91 octane if he think it will benifical. Not only did he make more peak power but he made alot more power down low. The car now has alot more power off the line then before.

Here's a graph showing the power curve for the STS single kit that Adam did. Whatever STS tells you,the two things you need to rememer is all cars tune differently and all turbos should be custom tuned. It will be so worth the expense you will not beleive it.

Also, what are you doing for your fuel system?

Did you get delete plates?

Default sts turbo

i got the sts because i used to have a rx7 with a greddy t78 single turbo kit...i dont want lag and i hate heat...blew the motor twice because of over heating.

and it sounds bad ***

yea i spoke with someone there at spankin time because my friend had his whipple installed there. the tuning is going to be around $550 to $600. i definately agree with you on the tuning but i just cant afford the tuning this second. how bad was the tune? it wont blow the motor right? im guessing its a really rich safe tune. which i can live for the time being
