Hurst shifters....

I am happy with my Hurst comp. I paid only $100 shipped for it. According to the seller, it had only 300 miles on it. He sold it because he was doing a man to auto swap. It was noisy at first, but dynomatting took care of the problem.

I guess notchy is a good way to describe the click as it goes into gear. I don't mind that. I have no problems getting it in reverse. I do get the rattle shifting at higher RPMs especially in 3rd. My installer asked Hurst about it and they acknowledged it but offered no remedy.

I had the steeda tri axe recently and got rid of it for the hurst, yes it looks alot beefier but in all reality let you you bend the hurst shifter or even flex it, aint goign to happen so the added beefyness doesnt make up for the short throw of the husrt, pro 5.0 is same throw as stock, so its not really a short throw shifter more of a strong stock shifter. reason why I got rid of the tri-axe

um i dont know about yours but my new 5.0 is probably the same throw as the hurst maybe more lateral throw but definatley less horizontal from 2-3 / 4-5 and the shifter itself sits lower and further back and is as smooth as butter
