gear oil color?

Well my rear end always stinks LOL.


Anyway, I have a Detroit locker in mine and it clanks a clunks all the time. It doesn't need the friction modifier nor does it call for it. The oil I removed was Lucas gear oil and I replaced with Royal Purple since it was on sale.

I've thought about putting in some friction modifier thinking it couldn't hurt.

Royal purple gear oil has friction modifier added.
