Supercharger with different gears.
So, I searched!!!
Anyone here have a supercharger (10psi...ish) and 3.73's or 4.10's?
How are they on the street? and would you recommend them?

i used 4.10s at 10psi for awhile, and i must say it is a lot of fun! I had 4.10s before i got my s/c so i cant compare to anything else.. All in all i would recommend 4.10s, they suck in first gear flooring it without slicks, but the rest of the gears is extremely quick to get into the powerband.

Moose has 4.10's with a whipple. Not to put words in his mouth but I believe he said he loved them at 8psi, but they were a bit much at 10psi.
I have 3.55's and like them in first but would prefer something a little steeper in the taller gears.
I cant see going up to 3.73's from where I am, but if you currently have the 3.31's it would be a nice upgrade.
Some day I might do a detroit locker and 3.73's when my clutch packs wear out.

I have a 11 psi new era Whipple, in a Bullitt - which has 3.73 gears. I have not timed or dynod the car- but I can tell you 1st gear goes into the rev limiter very fast. I need to be very aware of that and typically I short shift at < 5K and run it out in the other gears. I have SVT Cobra wheels with Supercar F1's in OEM Cobra sizes. On smooth asphault in cooler weather (under 70F) the car spins the tires through 3rd gear- though the boost gauge says 12 PSI when in cool air....
My only comparison to the typical stock GT gearing was the test drive of a GT before I settled on the Bullitt. I liked the extra "dig" the shorter gears gave (but the tune is different in the GT vs the Bullit) which may have added to the effect.
With 4.10's you has better have some sticky tires, and anything else that will help you hook up.
