I just read this when looking at the ram clutches.

GEARING: Rear gearing plays a critical role in clutch life. As a general rule, the lower the car is geared, the harder the clutch has to work to maintain holding power. This also drastically effects the driveability of the clutch system.

Does that mean my clutch will last longer since I have 4.10's?

What about the Slave cylinder? Currently my pedal goes way out before the clutch starts to grab and it's even worse since my wild hair last night. Are the stock cylinders okay for a peformance clutch/PP????
People have been using the stock slave cylinders with spec stage 3+ clutches without any problems. There really isn't any other choice, unless you want to try the ram or mcleod slave, which have failed it seems.

Well I had that backwards, so your clutch will last longer than mine. A car with 4.10s is lower geared than a car with 3.55's.

3.55 and especially 4.10's would be harder on the clutch, I can believe it since acceleration is more noticeable with those gears. I dont see how you use first gear in your car Moose. The Whipple rendered mine instant rev limiter with 3.55's

If anyone is wondering, spec 2's are the ones that have the problems.. never heard of a single person having problems with the 3 or 3+

There's a guy in my town the had 2 spec 3+ clutches and just wouldn't hold his power. He's making about 450 on nitrous. I guess its hit or miss with the specs. I'll never buy one.
