Default Quick help on Pypes catted x-pipe..Thx.

Just had it installed by a friend at meineke.NO WELDS, just the clamps that came in the box. Spoke to the guy at Brenspeed and he said no need to weld..It sounds great when you rev the engine at a stand still...BUT, when i get on it hard, accelerating from lets say 3 to 4 thousand rpm, I can hear very slightly an exhaust leak sound, then it disappears as the rpm get higher. Does anyone else have a prob like this maybe??? Thx to all that may help..

Also, how is the Brenspeed tune? Worth it?

Brenspeed tune is definitely worth it. as far as the leaking sound, I don't know what it could be.

FWIW i noticed the same thing with both the bassani catted X pipe and with the pypes O/R X pipe! in my case neither was leaking anywhere, probably just a sound characteristic of the X pipe!... as for the brenspeed tune, its totally worth it!

I just called Brenspeed about this prob or sound of "slight ticking" heard when I accelerate....The part of the package that was NOT included was 2 little inserts pipes that fit into the system at the manifold connection. So for all you 2007 and up Gt owners that plan on doing this, make sure you ask for the insert pipes at the manifold connection. They are 2 small pieces that fit into the pipe to create a solid seal so no sound of ticking will be heard whe you accelerate. Just ordered them and the just charged me shipping to get them. Thanks to you guys who replied.
