Transmission issue.

Could this be due to the "suspended" (may not be the right term) shift assembly setup in our cars? Basically what I mean is, since the shift assembly is not bolted to the transmission, you're getting engine/trans torque, but no shift assembly torque, which causes misalignment when trying to shift gears under moderate/heavy loads?

Assuming it is the same problem, I can tell you that the prothane motor mounts can help this out quite a bit (I have them and have noticed a difference). Also, installing either the CHE K Member Brace with the Torque Limiters and/or the MGW shifter have been said to completely eliminate this problem (but I cannot comment on either).

Maybe someone else can chime in here; I'm not really a mechanic; sort of an "Internet Mechanic" who tinkers
