Default vs. Brenspeed

I was interested in buying Brenspeed's Vortech tuner kit for '06 GT, $3799 for kit.
I live in Phoenix and contacted a reputable company regarding install vs alternative kits.

Their response:
[We will sell you this tuner kit for $2800 from Vortech, 39# injectors at $349, Diablo Predator hand tuner with custom dyno tune $500, correct spark plugs for $94, and twin fuel pump setup for $300 for a grand total of $4043.

Total labor would run $1344

This kit from Brenspeed would run $4299.

The reason why we wouldn't install the blower if you bought it from Brenspeed is because we would never install a boost-a-pump with a supercharger and never use a generic tune. We would install the correct fuel pump setup and custom tune it to our local environment to insure proper drivability.]

What do you guys think of this? Install price seems high (about twice as much as some). Also, folks at Brenspeed say that the tune on the handheld tuner that comes with the kit is all you need. (basically, bolt it on and go)

Thanks guys

Personally I agree with them about the fuel pump. I'd much rather have the dual GT500 pump. A dyno tune would be a lot better too. A canned tune will be very conservative. That's a good thing, but you can always do better.

You could always take the trip to brenspeed and stay in their guest house which doesn't cost anything.

Total labor would run $1344

Thats actually reasonable for a s/c install and fuel pump install

I appreciate the input so far guys! Thx.
So, does this deal seem fair overall?
I don't mind paying for the goods and services, just want to pay what's fair.
It's easy to get ripped off when your (me) a rookie.

Regarding the install labor cost for SC and fuel pump. Brenspeed says they install for $650 (half the price!). I assume this includes everything, given that a fuel pump is standard with the complete Vortech kit.

650 is hell of a deal for a fuel pump install and s/c install, if thats the case. 650-800 is usually average for just an s/c install alone and another 400 or 500 for the fuel pump switch. Atleast in houston thats what its like.

which twin fuel pump...i am guessing they are taking ford gt pumps and doing th etwo pump kit with original housing. i think all is reasonable. There is no better tuning then a local tune from someone who knows what they are doing.

I would want an upgraded system instead of just a BAP. also, you might consider doing the install yourself, it'll be fun.
