Default Manual shifter

Hi,

Im new to Mustangs, just ordered a 2006 Yellow GT coupe.

Im british and have always driven stick cars with very slick shifts, the mustang is a great car but I found the stick shift to be to slow and long throw. Has anyone changed out the shifter to an aftermarket short throw ? just wondering how well it works.

Please dont suggest an auto, the very idea is disgusting to me !!

Look forward to your opinions

Steve

Hey Welshstar - are you gonna have the Mustang in UK or are you over in the States? I ask as there are a few of us with Mustangs over here in the UK so wondered if you were gonna have it on UK roads??

Isnt it funny how people are so different - I am complete opposite with gears, I am a VERY lazy driver so last thing I need is to be changing gears all the time, especially on the bad British road (overcrowded!).....I am after a Shelby next year but since its on gears I cannot buy it - I am praying that they will bring one out as an auto but not hopeful!

Good look with the 06 Coupe dude!
