yeah I've always heard of issues with the IRS but for some people it works like a charm. and yeah I do all of my runs with the 20" rims and tires :-( I would love to get some 18's with DR's in the back sometime soon.

Man... with your power, christ! Some 18x10's w/ 295/35 DR's and that cobra wouldn't be making mincemeat out of you. It would probably be the other way around.

I can hardly get my little power to the ground with 20's and 275/35's. I'm losing traction bad now even hitting 3rd with the power I have and 4.10 gears. My NEXT mod will be some lightweight 18x9/10's with proper tires... then suspension.

Yes, they DO! It seems like the S197 was designed around 20'' wheels and the reason I purchased them.

Now I wish I had just lowered the truck-like suspension and installed some 18's. that was my plan until these MF demons implanted the FRPP CAMS idea in my head .

I'm glad I got the cams... HUGE difference in a N/A car but my next steps are lightweight 18's/DR's and suspension upgrades.

I started reading your post and thought they did a track test! It would have been nice to see a time slip from all three cars. of course the 5.4L is going to make more power.

yea, a track and road test would be the real test to see how they all perform w/ all that power. maybe in next months issue.

In a "road course" test with the same quality upderpinnings and watts-link you'll watch the S197 leave the cobra in the dust.

dragstrip test... meh.. either way.

I personally wanted one of Mr Shelby's cars....and I think the GT500 is one of his greatest examples of his style and determination.

It was no question for me which would come home.

The next one is the real question for me......
