Default What Mods to beat a Lancer Evo 8

I'm just wondering what mods i could add to my 05 Mustang GT to beat my friends EVO. He has me off the line by about a car length. Then i'm behind him by about a half car length at the quarter mile. Any info would be helpful.

a supercharger or a turbo would definitely make you win

of course you have to know how to drive as well

that is very true haha. I sadly don't have the money to spend on a supercharger or turbo right now. What could i do besides a supercharger or turbo to still beat the EVO?

no i do not have a tuner but i have been looking into getting a 92 octane tune from brenspeed. I've heard they are a very good place to get a tune from.

I would think that if you are that close to him without a tune it should put you over the edge with a tune. You should probably look for a custom dyno tuner in your area. Brenspeed would be a good start but there is nothing like a custom tune.

It's been a long time since I just had a tune but I would imagine it would be at least an increase of 10 to 15 hp on average.

Dump the K&N intake and get a tuner/intake package from Brenspeed. You can gain up to 30HP with the right combination and tune from Brenspeed.
