Default Motor Mounts and Speedo ?s

Im looking to buy some motor mounts and was thinking of getting the ones that lower the motor a little bit. Does anyone know someone who sells them?

Also, i changed my wheels to 20" and according to the GPS the car is running about 1.5mph fast. How do i fix this with a SCT Xcal3?

Why do want to lower the engine?? Unless you have a fitment issue (adding a s/c, cai, etc), they are not needed. We have had great sucess with the Prothane mounts.....good price and quality part.

the saleen sc does fit under the stock hood while it does slightly rub on the hood liner I wouldnt justify that as a reason to get lowered mounts, I would much rather remove the hood liner if it bothers you that much.

Go with the prothanes. I installed a set and my engine doesn't torque over like it did with the stock water balloon motor mounts.

The reason for the lower mounts with the Saleen SC is the clearance issues, specifically when pulling the tranny for a clutch change etc.

JDM sells the prothane mounts that are 1/2" lower than the regular ones.

Does the whipple have similar clearance issues?

I don't know. I would assume we would hear if there was because there are alot of Whipple guys here. Apparently the Saleen hits the fire wall and make it damn near impossible to tild the motor back to get at the tranny.

Sactown explained it to me since his tranny has been in and out of his car more times than I can count.

The whipple is similarly close to the firewall. Also, if you want to keep your hood blanket with the whipple, you need to lower the engine a bit.
