hard to say what's gong on but it sucks and
i hope you get it fixed.

we had another member who was having similar
issues after a brand new mcleod install and it
turned out to be a small burr on the input
shaft. after fixing that, the clutch performed
perfectly.

if i were you and did not replace the slave, i
would do it this time around. it's only about $100
and if you're in there it can't hurt. i got a new
slave from rockauto.com and it's been great so far.

this write up belongs to the people of this
forum, for this is where all of the tips
and tech support came from.

moosestang, mustard05, sactown, casey (HMS)
and lee @McLeod, among others, all contributed
technically to the project. moral support
came from many, too many to list, but i thank
them now as well.

* some items may not apply to everyone, like
lowering the engine... i needed to, so i did it.

* also, i'm not saying that this is the best or the
smartest way to do the job, it is just the
way that i did it.
Great job and write up!! The only thing that scared my was the front jacks they should have be turned so the frame rail is set in the u portion of the jackso in case the car jolts it won't slide off the jacks if anything would have slide with the car. Overall great safety tips and smart move on dropping the engine.

thank you Racerx009 for the kind words. Good
point about the front jacks, folks should use
their best judgement when setting those up.
