11.8 for a Z06 is kinda weak, with a tire they are 11.0-11.2 cars with a good driver and a tune gets them into the 10.9s

frankly with your current mods (IMO) you should be faster then u have run. 435 whp u and I are at similar power levels (if you believe the dynos) I think the best mod would be seat time! believe me I've been there, practice got me to the 11s from the 12.3-12.6 area

what are u launching at? your 60s in the high 1.8s is not as good as your car is capable of IMO. low 1.7s high 1.6s gets you to near 11s, IMO. are you powershifting?

it takes a near 500whp IMO to stay close to the z06, remember they weigh only 3150 from the factory

ok....whoa....nice cars yes....GODLY?!??! I think not....they are a fast and very nice car...their strength is power, weight and the way they handle etc....they are decent strip cars from what I have seen....but MUCH better road course cars...I think with your upcoming mods and some practice based on his current times..you should be able to beat him....

I know my 60' sucks but I am still getting adjusted to the RST and how to slip it, I have hit high 1.7's a couple of times but missed a shift, no I don't power shift, and I have not figured not a good launch point, I switched back to a steel flywheel from aluminum, but I generally launch arount 2k to 2500.

Plus the new Z06s are badd azz cars and if I had one I would be talking crap about mustangs too. Of course I would be running it on a road course instead of the drag strip. Awesome car!!
Just had to ask but why are you worried? I know there will always be someone faster, just like the vette that slams on the brakes at the 1000' ft make but runs a 11.5 at 90mph, but I have no problem with him its just that guy, and trust me when I beat the guy I am talking about bracket racing he was PISSED! And I was grinning from ear to ear especially since it was the 2nd vette I took out that night.

Hey all I know is it is a Z06, C5, C6, C30 I don't know. I just want to kick his A$$! If it is a Z06 that can run high 10's more power too him, he paid at least 50k more than me his car should be faster. I am pretty sure if I dumped 50k into my car he would be kissing my a$$ all the way down the track.

The nights we race they don't spray the track and there are tons of people on regular street tires.

Better prep on the track would yield better results/

Sac - IMO your launching too low. I'm dropping the hammer @ 4500-4700 to get my best times. dont slip it, just dump it and hang on! powershifting can cut .1-.2 off your times IMO (seemed to for me) I've found around 16-17psi to bed best for the tires as well.

C6s yes.

Sac - does the car look like the firts (C6) or the second (C5), the roof line is noticeably different

It looks like the red vette in the picture. You dump the clutch at 4500? What tires are you running?
