15 inch rims for the track
#11
anybody know if I can use 16 inch wheels on the front at the track, I have DRs mounted on stock 17s in the rear but don't want to run my nice street wheel/tires up front at the track, so was thinking on getting some 16 inch stock wheels/tires to use for beating at the track, if anything they are lighter than the 17s !! lol anybody know the difference in overall diameter between the stock 16s and stock 17s?
thanks

you can use the v6 16 inch rims.. you will get a next to nothing improvement from them on the track as they are the same diameter plus or minus .1 i belive. i think the best thing to do is get a full set of wides and skinnies if you wanna swap front and rear rims

Find a cheap 17 wheel and put on a MT Bias Ply slick. That tire will give you more grip off the line than your current set up can handle.

Not looking for an improvement, just dont want to screw up my new wheels/tires at the track, figure already have dedicated rear track wheel/tires why not also swap the fronts just for drag, would love skinnies but can't find wheels, M&H makes the 17"
f rontrunners but I can't find the right offset wheel to mount them on, for now I will just get the 16s to spare the abuse on my street wheels/tires.
