I can't take the drone anymore!

You should be happy with them!
I'm selling mine in a week or so, i'm just waiting on a replacement from the vendor b/c one was bent....
So one is about 2 weeks old 200 miles, and the other will be new in plastic.

I don't get any cracking sound with the boomtubes. Maybe with loudmouths or some other delete. But the boomtubes have a baffle inside (there's pics of that at brenspeed's site) which is the reason why they sound different from loudmouth type systems.

You might want to also look into the Pypes Mid-Muffler setup. Quite louder than stock, I only had a brief minimal drone area @ 2K-2050.
Can't handle drone myself. One of the best sounding exhaust setups on these 3V motors IMO. Install is a PITA, but worth it.
I'd still be running that setup if I hadn't installed LT's.
Back to the GTA's for me with no cats & LT's.

Since I sold my GTA's I had Comp Cam 1's installed. My Flows sound really good back there but I'm getting another pair of GTA take-off's this month. I'm looking forward to swapping them out once and for all. The cams should really sound good through the GTA's.

I got the Pypes mid-muffler on mine, the only time it crackles is when you rev it in neutral. Sounds great on accel, quiet on cruise but louder than stock and yes a slight drone @ 2k or so. I love the sound though and wouldn,t change for any other system!
