fuel pressure gauge question

fuel pressure gauge question
I am looking to go fi soon. I have an SCT Livewire and noticed that fuel rail pressure is an option to display. I am guessing this is getting a reading from the frps. My question is if this reading is accurate or would I be better off getting a standalone guage? I will probably be upgrading to the gt500 dual pump as info. Has anyone made a comparison with the Livewire reading vs a standalone fuel pressure gauge?

I use an electrical gauge for my fuel pressure. Its an expensive gauge, so i'm not sure if you want to spend the money. The mechanical gauge is much cheaper, but then you will have fuel going into your cabin--not very safe. My gauge gets it's info from the fuel regulator located on the top of the fuel rails. I'm not sure if Livewire gets it from the same place, but i have a feeling it would be just as accurate as a electrical fuel gauge. What readings does Livewire give you? For an NA car, you should get readings from 29psi at idle to 39psi at WOT.

as accurate if not better than an aftermarket electronic fuel pressure
guage. Now a mechanical guage with a fluid isolator is another story...

It normally reads 39 at idle and if I accellerate it will drop to 37 or below for less than a second then go back to 39, if I let of the gas it will go up to above 41 and then settle to 39 again. I was planning on an sos triple pillar and aem af, boost, and fp gauges. But if I can get away with the sos double with af and boost, that will save a little bit.
