Heres the lowdown, shops push flowmaster because they are vendors. Why would they push a product such as mac that they dont deal with when they could sell you the flows and make $$$. Flowmaster was sunonymous (sp?) with the old 5.0's and 2v 4.6's, in which they sound good with o/r setups. The flows sound like **** on the new rear mufflered 3v IMO. Those shop guys dont seem to realize that slapping some flows on a new GT wont make it sound like a 5.0. IMO if your trying to achieve that sound go with the Macs. You wont be dissapointed.

Thank you spell check ......I tried muffler deletes as well. It was fun for a while and then I just got bored with the sound. It sounded the same to me throughout the whole rpm range. Im debating adding the bassani catted x to my macs this spring. Oh well different strokes
