Sc'd stang up in Anchorage, Ak?
Hey guys,
I am in the process of getting ready for my move to Anchorage. What things would you recommend to help making the stang a bit more reliable, and decrease wear on my engine. I have heard about block heaters, and the ones that I am liking are the type that circulates coolant. I will purchase a beater while up there for days I can't break out the car but as of now it is my only car. My set up is in my signature. I plan on doing a full rust treatment on the under body and engine bay before I leave as well. I idle a little higher as well (960) rpm, I have noticed that it helps up here (8 degrees out side) and it warms up quicker.
I also plan to add a couple of mods while up there.
a cam with a bit more of a lobe. I like the noise.
I might also do LTs with a custom side exhaust. (I have to do a ton of research on it, but I love the idea)
there is more but the car will be hardly driven in the cold months if I can help it but I have a lot I have to cover before I can get a second vehicle.
What are some things I should consider, know about, etc... and your thoughts about what you guys would do if you were up there (aside from selling, because that is out of the question)
oh if it matters I have about 41,000 on the chassis and 15,000 on the motor

are you going to be able to keep it in a garage? sorry i dont have a whole lot of help for you but last time i got new tires they put this sealant between the rim and tire to keep salt from the roads out of there so it does corrode the rim. just a thought for you.
