Default Good shops near 01950?

Hey guys, new to the forum.

I'm going to be finishing school this semester, and I know I'm going to want to play with my car a little bit and was wondering if anybody knew of good places to go around where I live.

Thanks!

Well I don't know of anyone offhand that are 'right down the street' per say - but you have some great resources in your area of the map. If you are just looking for tuning, then I would honestly just go mail order with brenspeed or bama but if you are looking for big work to be done - you have quite a few options as there are some awesome shops on the east coast.

Sounds to me like you are just looking for minor work such as simple bolt-on installs like gears, exhaust, CAI, etc. kind of stuff.

Trust me, for that you don't need a big money 'pro' shop. Just find a local auto shop that is familiar with the S197's and you will be fine.

A little trick is to visit a local dealership body-shop and ask who they send their overflow work out to (believe me - most all dealerships have them) and go there for better pricing and guys who are familiar with the platform.

I'll tell you though - most of the bolt on projects are not very difficult and even with little or no 'wrench' knowledge, can be accomplished by yourself with just a little time and patience. You will always feel better about any mod you put on yourself.

If you get into needing custom stuff, drop me a PM and I'll give you some resources that aren't more than a days trip.

BTW: Welcome to the forum.

first all congrats on graduating and welcome to the forum. modaddict pretty much hit everything. if your going to put just a cai and tune on. get the combo from one of the tuners that everyone on here uses and install it yourself. takes about 30 mins tops.
you can read signatures and see who got who to tune theres. bama and brenspeed and vmp are the most common.
good luck with the mods and enjoy the new found power.
