Default SHAKE n' BAKE: Saleen SuperShaker ordered!

Woo hoo! I'm getting blown! Call it my own personal Economic Stimulus Package for the American economy, but I just put a deposit down for a Saleen SuperShaker to be installed by Brenspeed in Indiana on June 1st! http://www.brenspeed.com/supershaker.html

My car is totally stock under the hood, so an extra 150rwhp/140rwtq should be niiiice ...and keeping my factory 3 year/36,000 mile warranty isn't too shabby either! I'll be running at 5.5-6.5psi of boost on a totally stock engine.

It would not be prudent for me to put my new stripes on the car until this is all finished..OH WELL! Also, for those who might not know, the SuperShaker is not compatible with the stock hood scoop bolt locations, so I will have some holes exposed in the hood. This isn't a huge concern for me as I will be putting a B9 hood scoop over the SuperShaker intake for a sleeper look...sleeper until I step on the gas and it's WHINE CITY, population: ME.

I'll be looking to supplement the blower from here on out, especially after the warranty runs out:
Cams, clutch, gears, driveshaft, exhaust, etc etc etc.

So effing pumped! If anyone else has taken the SuperShaker plunge, please feel free to offer your insights!

-Andrew

Awesome dude! I think I might be buying one tomorrow, going by Brenspeed to get final details/make the final decision. I plan to install myself (with the help of others) in next few weeks and then wait for the dang snow to melt.

C'mon guys with th Supershakers, post up pics/vids, not much out there yet. Dave at Brenspeed said that Saleen didn't really finish of the hood ring, would love to see inside hood pics as well. Since I already have a CDC shakerhood, wondering how they compare.

on the inside of the hood there is nothing. even the hood blanket had to come out. and the ring only goes around the top and side. i will be painting the underside flat black.

Hmm, wonder if I could use my current ring...

Any concern about removing the blanket, not sure exactly what it's purpose is.....does it protect the hood paint from heat?

I've heard of many people who have removed the blanket and had no problems. I don't anticipate any issues, especially since there will be a lot of extra space under the hood thanks to the removal of that clunky factory airbox.
