Default under estimated my whipple decision

08 Bullitt- 6 months after Whipple install- with great help from this forum, I realize the blower was a really cool choice. However, as I said in the title- I really underestimated the effect of the power increase- I have 12 psi of boost (11 if it is HOT) and (FRPP) tires brakes and suspension etc- just like Cobra set up (for the most part).

Traction Control ON- is scary- the car bumps off the "rev limiter" constantly-

Traction control off- the car is insane unusable power. 1st gear you want to get out of ASAP, 2nd, 3rd and 4th spin after 4,000 rpm even at partial throttle. I have seen redline (Hill Country TX twisty roads) rarely since I put it on.

I love the raw power feel, etc. But I never thought it would ever put this much power out, nor what it would do/ feel like.

Thanks for letting me voice...

I love this (our) car.

Rock on- Bro's

So sorry to hear of your most troublesome burden. I'd be glad to offer my assistance and relieve you of it.

sounds like you need some rubber under the back.

Truth is I am not reall sure how much "faster I am"

The car does not want to hook up.

I rememeber as a kid I used to think that cars that "caught rubber" quickly in the gear shifts was as good as it got. I would really llike that kind of traction real world with the Whipple Mustang set up.

F1 Supercars on SVT rims. The tires have rocks and gravel stuck to them after I roll into the driveway. But you are right- I need even stickier rubber or a hook up program-for a non- 1/4 mile driver.

Again- I guess the point is Whipple (at least my experience) is superlative power- now it is your choice (problem) to work with it.

Ok Senor Mikey- 100HP nitous shot 11 second GT 500 conversion bad boy. I need to spend more time on the forum - at this point you got the 1/4 mile time and the traction to do it (sub 11)

You Git (Got) er Done!
