Default CDC Ducktail Spoiler

I was thinking of ordering the Ducktail Spoiler from CDC and was wondering if anyone already had one
and if it looked good.

There is a thread on another board that has 5 different (actual pictures, not web site advertisement pictures ) ducktail spoiler pictures. Plus a couple of other folks in the thread posted their cars. Seems most everyone in the thread agrees that the CDC product is preferred.
You can check it out here

I too would like one of these but I'm concerned about the holes that are in my trunk already. How much does it cost to fix these holes, repaint and install the new spoiler? Thats gonna make my mind up for me. For the price of the item it's great but add that little extra on and it may just not be worth it.

From what I have read, that little extra ( including the ducktail being painted ) is costing people about $500. Would be nice to find someone with a V6 and no spoiler that was the same color car and swap deck lids with them.

Called the Ford dealer body shop and they said it would be $500 to paint, install, fill the holes from the factory spoiler and repaint the trunk lid.
If you order a prepainted spioler for about $100 extra then the dealer can do the work for around $350 which saves you about $50.

Supposedly Street Scenes is releasing a "Gen 2" ducktail that is going to fit in the factory holes. Blow By Racing is also releasing one ( or so the rumor is )

GJP05, my first mod was the ducktail along with the 3rd light in the back window and the side scoops. I had my local paint/body shop paint them with the base/clear paint like our paint. Aftermarket body parts get painted with cheap singlestage paints which tend to discolor or do not react the same to sunlight as the factory paint blah blah blah, anyway I get nothing but compliments and I'm the only one with it in my town anyway, so far....
