Default Tuner on a '08 Bullitt

Does anyone know, with the changes Ford made to engine management in this motor, whether or not a tuner would add, subtract, or just screw up the way the car runs now?

Any advice or suggestions are appreciated.

Thanks in advance,
Lance

You don't think it will mess with the whole octane sensor thing that advances the timing if you put 93 in it instead of 87?

My moms got a 09 bullitt. We put a thottle body, better intake, and the 93 octane performance tune on it from a predator. Woke it right up.

If you are asking if you will maintain the adaptive tuning, I believe you will not.....My information shows that an aftermarket tune will probably net you about 5 to 10 HP above the the stock Bullitt tune....BUT....it will make a huge difference in throttle response and generally wake her up......

I believe you will need to stay octane specific, based upon what tune you have loaded.....

Thanks for the info but now I am somewhat concerned.
I don't care about HP, on 87 it's 315.
The difference is that with 93 it's 335 TQ compared to 325 stock.

Am I going to lose that?

Also, sorry but I stole your avatar, I've been looking for a good one all week!

you'll have more power on tap at all times but will be stuck on using 91 or 93 (tune dependent at all times)

any reason I couldn't have an 87 economy tune that I could switch to along with the 93 performance tune on the same tuner?
