Default Proposed Mods vs Warranty Void

Hi all,

I have put together a loose list of the mods I want to do to my car; these are not in specific order and it may take me 2-3 years to complete on my small budget.

Some are fairly obvious as warranty busters while others are not.
What I am looking for are opinions, suggestions, etc.. as to which will break my warranty and which I can get away with.

Thanks in advance for your responses.

Here's the list:

SCT3 Tuner
225/45/18 GY Eagle F-1s
Throttle body and spacer
Charge motion delete plates
Electric water pump
Underdrive pulleys
Camshafts

Front and rear big brake kits
Lowering springs
Struts and Shocks
Rear LCAs/UCAs

Longtube headers and high-flow cats

Short-throw shifter
Aluminum flywheel and driveshaft

Thanks, and yes, I want to stay N/A

skip the TB and spacer.

Every part will void the warranty on the part it replaces basically. The camshaft would be the biggest deal breaker as that will void most all the engine warranty IMO. None of our answers mean anything though as FORD can attempt to void your warranty however they like, not likely but it could happen. Speak with the dealer you go to and see what they will let slide and what wont.

Just mod it. Who wants to wait that long to do all the things that make our Stangs so damned cool? Some dealerships don't give a hoot about mods. Like Mat said, check with yours. Just don't deprive yourself of the enjoyment we get with these cars.

Thanks for the replies guys.

Matt, why do you say skip the TB and spacer: warranty or no gains?
I had thought those two would be helpful once I got the cams and exhaust.

Nuke, I would love to do everything but my budget doesn't allow it.
It will probably take me 3 years to do everything a little at a time and I want to put off the biggest warranty busters till near the end.
I estimate that the cams, headers, flywheel, and driveshaft are the most likely to give me warranty problems and those also happen to be the big ticket items anyhow.

Thanks

The stock TB flows as well as any other out there for our engines as long as we're not aspirated or heavily modded internally. You won't see any gains with a new TB plus there have been quite a members that have had issues with TB installs. If you MUST, the GT500 TB would be a safer bet.

TB spacers are good providing you're using it as a paperweight. Don't bother.

Regarding warranty in general, people would really enjoy things a lot more if they simply did what they wanted to their cars and not EXPECT it to crap the sheets. There are some dealerships that are ****** and others that realistic and want your business. Plus, they cannot legally deny you warranty work unless they can prove that a particular mod caused the problem. It's usually a matter of who can out intimidate, should it come to that. My dealer knows that I'm a multi car owner and he stands to lose more than just a repair shop customer.
