I'm real close on getting one these that you used with the stock cats. is there any reason why I should might get the x-pipe instead? Anyone? I'm going for a unique sound that is closest to the 2-valve sound with a mac prochamber and 40 flowmasters. I already have the mac axlebacks and they are selling the prochamber for 279 on ebay. What is your opinion? Love to get an answer.

I haven't personally heard the prochamber that works with the stock cats. From what I have read, it will a little deeper and a little quieter than the stock H pipe.

If you youtube "rakkassan34" you'll see vids of my car. I started with prochamber, stock cats, and loudmouths. Too loud inside the car on the highway the drone drove me nuts. Then put stock mufflers on. It then sounded like a stock 05 mustang but quieter. Soo off came the cats then it sounded great. Thumper cams now make it sound like a 60's muscle car. I would highly recommend no cats or high flow cats.

Jesus those cams are nice!!! How many hours would it take for a mechanic to install those cams? What tune did you get for it? I heard sometimes without the proper tune you may actually lose horsepower. Also did I understand right that you made your car quieter with the prochamber with cats. Right now my mods are C/L CAI/Brenspeed tunes, steeda underdrive pullys, 4.10 gears, and Mac Axlebacks. Would the prochamer with cats actually make my car quieter if so would it sound better anyway, maybe like the 2-valve mustang which IMO sounds superiour. Looking to forward to hear your reply.

Yes the car was quieter than stock with the cats and stock mufflers. The pro chamber acts like a big muffler. I took off the cats and it's perfect now. The cams took me 5hrs to install myself. It was really easy. I hear mechanics that have done a few of these before have gotten the install down to a few hours. I got three tunes free from Doug at Bamachips since I'm a returning customer. I haven't had it dyno'd or taken it to the track yet but it feels like it's up on power.

well I have mac axlebacks and I wanted the prochamber to make it sound more hollow, you now like the old 2valves. why haven't you tried brenspeed? I had one of doug's tunes and it just didn't cut it.

The prochamber will give you that hollow sound and it grumbles when in gear and you let off the gas. It was a coin toss between Brenspeed and Bama. I heard their tunes and service are similar.
