If you have TT's I would set the max A/F ratio at 12 and no higher.....11.3-11.7 is more ideal at WOT with FI and at idle 14.7 is normal. what was the A/F ratio while on the dyno? You have it dyno tuned right? Or is it a canned/emailed tune?

I managed to get a pic to show in your sig too. I had to resize it as well because the limit is 500 x 250 max!!!!! No infraction given as it was just text before.(links were all wrong) Welcome to the forum and the boosted club!

I like my fat whipple tune, 10.8:1 for the win! Like mygt500 said, anything much over 12:1 is pushing it on a FI motor, but if you want to make max power, then that's what you got to do.

help! you guys just confused me! numerical reading above 14.7 is lean, right? which means there is more air than needed (20:1 is extremely lean). under 14.7 is rich...the engine has more fuel than needed. and an FI motor should run rich with a ratio of 12.1 or lower? I think I need an AF ratio guide for dummies....

jersey you have a good grasp of the ratios. I was speaking for WOT runs and the 14.7 is for idle whether boosted or not.

I run at WOT about 11.4-11.6 give or take. My first tune was pig rich at 10.9 and that IMO for my motor was just not good for driveability when cold...so the retune yielded more HP and a better A/F ratio!

mykim72- What boost you running? I still think 12.0 is the max and I am no expert with turbos.... I understand the "how" it works and the slightly leaner tune accts for more HP but with less room for error.... JMO

I hope you are only concerned about that ratio at wide open throttle. At partial throttle that reading is fine.
