Default Another whining noise

I've read all the "whining noise" threads and can't find one that matches my symptom. I am stumped on this one.

I have an 05 Saleen S281SC (and no, it is not the SC making the noise). I have 38k miles and this just started... When I fire it up, wait 15-20 seconds and this whine kicks in. It sounds like an electric motor, but I can't locate it. It stays the same noise level no matter what you do (brakes, A/C on/off, headlights, motor rev). Nothing seems to modify the sound. Then when you shut the car down, this noise winds down like jet turbine (but quicker).

Any ideas? Does the fuel pump make sense? Car runs fine, but this noise is too loud to be normal and I am sure something is going to break.

Default found it

It's the intercooler pump. The fluid level was way low. I filled it with distilled water, but it still whines and does not flow. I think I lost the pump.

Did you make sure to clear any air lock? I had to do that when I installed my whipple, No flow if there's air in the pump.
