ST Motorsports Intake ?
I have a Whipple 3.2 on my forged, stroked 5.0. I am installing the new Steeda 10 rip kit and going with their 16# pulley. ST Motorsports has a rear intake manifold for the Whipple. __Is anybody running with this?__ Whipple says after 13# their rear intake manifold is a air restriction and limits air flow. On ST Motorsports site they show great gains. Any thoughts? Thanks

Adam does the manifold, intake and TB combos for KB , Whipple and more.
I think he saw like 100 HP gain on his wifes KB with his intake. KB and Whipple both have noted his work on these intakes.
Too much for my stock block. Im already at 500+ so I need some forged parts befote I go that far.

Ask psfracer about it.... I am planning a similar build but for the 2.3L Whipple...do they make a 3.2L? and the gains are great with no tuning either....and everything you stated is correct. I am getting that too and plan for 20+ psi on the Steeda belt drive (when they have a pulley for it)

Thanks for the links. I am wondering if I can use the air filter and intake that came with my Whipple 2.3. or if that will be a restriction. I see that Adam uses a 4" pipe. I would like to keep the stock look of the Whipple. I would also like to have his piece powder coated black to match the Whipple and my valve covers. I am receiving Steeda's 16# pully for their 10 rip monday.

Measure the intake opening on the cone filter and I think it's 4 inches. The 4" pipe he uses can and IMO should be powder coated to match whatever color you want and as far as stock look....with that intake and belt drive you will not look stock when you open the hood no matter how hard you try.....get the whole setup to get the most from the money you spend on the setup. (as mentioned its like the KB intake and the IAT temps will be lower!

I e-mailed Adam and got a very quick response. He said i can use the front part of my Whipple intake [air filter and intake tube] with his rear manifold and be 99% restriction free. My Whipple air intake will bolt back up to the existing mount. Very kool !

Well well well...that is good info so you dont have to move the brake components near the drivers headlight either....remember that the air itself will still come from under hood temps and not from well below the heat sitting just under the hood...a functional hood (ram air vents) can and will help that or a cowl hood for examples.....I really like the CAI below the engine bay and taking in all the low to ground cool air....but thats JMO
