Default motor mount install question

Is it possible to change out the motor mounts without removing the motor mount brackets? Because that passenger side bracket is a serious #*$%^& to get in and out of there.

I know I can jack the motor up to within about 1/4 inch of the brackets clearing the motor mount bolts. I wonder if when I unscrew the mount itself (not the brackets) - would I be able to wiggle the mounts out of there and then wiggle new mounts back in?

Hope that made sense.

You shouldn't need to do anything with the brackets. Just unbolt the OEM mounts from the bracket and the frame. Get a big screwdriver and pry it out. The prothane mount bolt are shorter and easier.

The prothene mounts are actually shorter than the stock mounts & installing them should not be an issue, but removing the stock hydro mounts is another issue, as they are actually recessed into the frame rails & will require you either jacking up the motor quite a bit or onbolting the mount brackets to remove.
Installing the prothenes is a piece of cake compared to removing the hydro mounts.

I ended up cutting my stock mounts out because there wasn't enough clearance with the Saleen SC contacting the firewall when the engine was raised.

Installing the prothanes was much easier.

Its possible to take out stock MM without taking out the ear on the passenger side. I did it like that but its a real PITA. Just unbolt the starter and lift the engine a lot and it'll come out easy.
