Default Whipple front seal leak UPDATED

Any of you Whipple owners seeing this yet? I noticed today while cleaning the car what looks to be a front seal starting to leak. It isnt heavy, yet, but it is enough to wipe with your finger. Next month will mark 1 year and a little over 14K miles. I'm not very happy.
What do you guys think?
Here are a couple of pictures, it's difficult to tell from the pics but you can see the dirt and discoloration on the front of the intake where the blower bolts too.

confirmed.

aclass you the man. at first i thought there
was just some fine belt dust there, but after
running my finger over that little ledge, there's
definitely a little oil film there.

modaddict used to say no system is perfect and
it's how the manufacturer takes care of you after
the sale that counts. let's see how whipple
treats their wounded soldiers.....

i would be happy just receiving a new gasket and
instructions on how to replace it, hopefully this
is something we can do at home.

if you hadn't said anything, i may never have
noticed it.....

and just to be clear, you're talking about
this little ledge, right?

Thats exactly what I was thinking Hammer, just send me a better gasket with procedure and torque specs.
Hopefully it's just the gasket and not the seal. This is pretty hard on a fellow thats a neat freak, let alone the cash we had to dish out for these things. My fear is that it will only get worse with time, and what a mess that will be.

How do you suggest we approach it with Whipple?

Bingo!
I took a picture with my oily finger but the flash messed it up.

well i can't wait to hear what moose
has to say lol!

it seems like maybe it's heated oil vapor that's
escaping from somewhere.... i wonder if a permatex
type gasket sealer is going to be the fix.

Did you installed it yourself?I have a KB,and I did it myself. Now in the instructions manual it tells you to caulk the shait out of the area where the blower the blower sits on the manifold, and i the updated instructions it tells you to not use it since hey added a gasket. It is the same way on the whipple too.Altough theres a gasket I kaulk the shait of it too.A lot of the shops goes buy the manual, and those seals are notorious to go bad from the heat.I'd take it appart get new gasket, and use 732 black gassket maker silicone...should be fine

thanks maxpain, nice to see the KB crew
offering their assistance in times of trouble.

i did a little more investigating and now i think
that it might just be the snout seal. i ran my finger
under the snout and there's the same oil film that
i felt on the ledge.

in a way this is good, because i think that seal
will be pretty easy to replace.

Thats correct Hammer, that is where mine is leaking and it's running down on the lip where the intake bolts to the engine.
