Gas Mileage with Steeda C.A.I. SCT Tune and T.B.
After running an SCT 93 Performance Tune from the good guys at American Muscle, a BBK Twin T.B. and a Steeda C.A.I. and Tube combo my fuel economy is 16.5 M.P.G. when I drive hard on the vehicle.
Previous economy was 16.4, however I am driving harder with the new parts than ever before!
When I drive like a normal human being, and obey speed limits and shift at normal shift points (2500 R.P.M.) the vehicle gets 19.0 with city/highway combo.
Conclusion: If you dirve normally you really will get a 2.5 MPG increase with C.A.I. SCT Tune and T.B.

An aftermarket TB is a total waste if you're not aspirated. As far as gas mileage is concerned, how many months and miles of before and after data are you comparing? From over 35 years of keeping detailed mileage records, I know that there are so many variables that can result easily in a 1 MPG or more error that your numbers are useless without a lot of supporting information.
From the sheer number of people on the forum that have commented on fuel mileage, the conclusion is: little to NO change in fuel mileage.
Additionally, the AM tune typically does not perform as well as a Brenspeed or Bama tune.

Good choice. I'd also ask Bama what other mods would give you more bang-for-the-buck to go with your TB that they could tune for but that would probably involve some internal work. Might as well try to get something out of that paperweight.
