Default K&N Intake with Saleen Supercharger

Does anyone know if the K&N 63-2565 intake kit matches up to the saleen supercharger. I'm pretty sure the saleen keeps the stock MAF sensor position so I believe it should. I'm looking at getting one and want to make sure first. Thanks!

Personally, I'd recommend you look at the Saleen "Ultimate Air" setup.

I hear the gains are pretty solid.

Good call, just checked it out. looks like it grabs much cooler air from the fender and comes with a bigger 95mm MAF housing and harness!

I just wish I wasn't so cheap, or I'd buy one too.

If you get it, please throw up some pictures and let me know how you like it.

That's the set up I'll use when it's time for it.

The K&N intake will not work with the Saleen because of 2 reasons. 1 it rubs against the hood when closed because the snout of the supercharger sits out further and 2 because it hits the alternator since it was relocated. The only 3 inlet pipes we use with the Saleen is the stock inlet pipe, the Steeda, and the Saleen extreme. I personelly love the look of the Saleen extreme intake.

Hope this helps

I got a crazy good deal on the K&N and installed it over the weekend. No hood rub, but it is very close to the alt. It doesn't hit it, but comes real close to the wire connections. So far so good. I will post a pict soon

But I do agree the Saleen Extreme intake would be the ideal choice, I just couldn't pass up the deal I got on the K&N.

Sweet. I'm glad you worked it out.

If I got a steal of a deal on it, I'd have taken a shot at it, too.
