I've had it for nearly a year though with zero problems up until now. I wonder if the fluctuating temps has anything to do with it? I like in AK and it goes from freezing cold in the winter to pretty warm in the summer (80 tops)

do tunes just go bad? I emailed brenspeed about a week ago with no response.

(O_o)?!

I am anxious about trying out the bama race tune with the C&L, my guess is that it'll be even faster then before.

The adaptive learning of the PCM adapts for
wide ambient temperature changes.

Tunes dont go bad, engine sensors do.
Tunes are software and sensors are hardware.
I would guess that a sensor has gone bad.
Have you thrown and Dignostic Trouble Codes?
That can/will point you in the right direction
to get the problem fixed right.

no codes, other then the usual 'check charging system' and a few other codes that I learned was normal (when loading up a tune)after reading up on them online. Everything checked out A-ok at the dealership as well.

that could possibly be so, the C&L racer intake is alot bigger the the stocker.. maybe less air flow of the stocker doesn't make whatever sensor that's messing up ( if it is ) go haywire, but the larger mass of air for the CAI does.. who knows?

I just got another race tune for the CAI... if my car pulls this hard now, I can't imagine with the CAI and new tune!

thanks.

Not only that but I put the C&L racer intake and WOW! It's SO much faster then it's ever been with the other tune. Though maybe something was wrong with the old tune so it's not really a fair comparison.

I am just happy it's running ALOT stronger then before. It breaks the tires loose hella hard from a low roll and 3rd gear seems like it has so much more pulling power on the highway during WOT.

On a sad note, I may have to put the stock intake back on later... either that or run the CAI with a panty hose over it.

You don't want to know lol.
