Default painting charge motion delete plates

I have a quick question. I have a set of steeda charge motion delete plates and before I install them I was thing about painting them. Does anyone know of some reason that I shouldn't? A friend of mine had a concern about the paint trapping in heat, thus affecting the temp of the air. Is this anything that I should be really worried about?

You can't see it, why in the world would you paint them?

They are actually visible from the sides.

You can see the sides of the plates. I don't know if it is worth it to paint them as they aren't clearly visible, just visible. Unless the rest of you engine (valve covers, maybe) is painted or will be, it will look odd with 2 stripes of color in there.

Unless its a show car I have to agree. And if that is the case I would probably choose to have them powder coated to match the valve covers (better scratch/heat resistance).

You'd be better off having them powder coated. I would only do the sides of them though.
