I have a 2007 Mustang GT, and need some advice on exhaust.

Last year, I added an O/R H pipe with my stock exhaust. It sounded ok, but just wasnt the sound I was looking for. Then this year, added some SLP Loud Mouths (axle back). This sound was VERY loud, and impressive. But almost TOO loud. It also made it sound a little crackly and raspy. Especially on the deceleration from high RPM's. Also at HIGHER RPM's. I have also felt a lot of loss in horsepower and/or torque, as it doesn't feel as fast.

So I guess the question is, what DO I want it to sound like?
I like the really deep / steady exhaust sound. Something that sounds like maybe a nascar.

Obviously I cant get the CAMMED sound... (thats a future mod), but need to know what to do to work up to it.

my recommendation = frpp stingers with kooks long tubes w/ high flow catted H... sounds freaking sweet! I have the stingers now and will be doing the headers within the next month or so

U wont get the sound like that saleen unless u put a pushrod motor in

I like the sound of Borla myself. Any difference between the Borla stingers and FRPP stingers?

As far as sound no... they are identical... the only diff is the borlas are stamped with borla in big letters and frpp are stamped with ford racing in big letters... like the ford racing myself

How does the thread feel about MAC headers? I've heard a couple of sound bites and they seem to have a deeper sound to them.

Well, from the sound clips i've heard... I seem to enjoy the sounds from MAC Axleback... I wonder what the MAC (long tube) Headers + O/R H pipe + MAC Flowpath Axleback would sound like. Now THERE is a comination!
