Default tuning question and cam install

I was wondering if my car would run if I installed some XFI NSR COMP CAMS Stage 2, bbk shorty headers, charge motion deletes. Would it just run poorly until it was tuned or would it not even start? I was also wondering how difficult it is to set the timing on the cams? I'd love to get them, but I can't really afford to pay a dealership 5 or 600 bucks to install them. my little *** town here doesn't have a performance shop. I talked to the ford dealer ship and they said they could do cams and long tubes for 600 something. I've decided to go for shorty's over long tubes as I think I can handle installing those. The only reason I didn't want to mess with installing the LT's is I didn't think I would be able to lift the car high enough to get them in. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I was planning on getting Brenspeed to send me some tunes for the new parts if I can do it.

Headers on these cars is a pain in the *** long tubes or shorties, I'ld say iff you didn't buy them yet don't even bother. $600 for cam and long tube install is actually a good price from a dealer. The car will run (like crap) with the cams without a tune however it will barley run with the CMCV deletes without a tune, they require a timing advance to run and to have the CMCV motor turned off. You might want to save up enough money and do it right with a tuner, I always tell my customer its cheaper to do it right the first time then to do it over.

I've actually got enough money in my checking to do the whole thing, but I'm also trying to pace myself as I'm trying to find a place of my own and I'd be really pissed at myself if I bought all this stuff, found a place I liked and didn't have the money for it. I'm also looking at FRPP 4:10 gears as well. I forgot to mention that. I have an SCT tuner to adjust for the gears and it also has timing advances that I can do with it. Out of those mods, what would you recommend starting with? I'm most anxious to get cams in it. I've never had a cammed up motor before, but I wanted to make sure it could breathe well enough to benefit from the cams
