Default Lifting and Jack Stands...

Hello All,

New to the thread, glad to meet all the mustang guys and gals out there... I have a question that I'm sure some of you might have addressed already.

I am going to install about $3K worth of toys in my pony this weekend. I have looked under the car and read the manual and even tried doing some searches online with no luck. I know that the lift points are right in front of the wheels, but where is the safe spot to put the jack stands?? Normally they would go on frame rails but with the new 05 chassis on the car I'm not sure and I didn't want to just put them anywhere. Soooo, if anyone has an educated answer for this, I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks is advance!!

Alfred

I'm not sure, I was wondering that myself. But I've seen these cars on lifts and it was just after the wheel well, so I was going to assume that you try and get the jack stand as close to the lift points as possible.

When I did my exhaust, I put the jack stands under the axle housings.

I haven't needed to use jack stands up front yet.

For the front, There is a little slot with two bolts in it. I put the one side of the arched jackstand between those bolt heads. No problems for me there. Can I only link for pictures on this site?
