FRPP 4:10's for sure.... Absolutely no question (IMO)....!!!
And Geeeeeez, let's clarify this once and for all ...Generally, It's 4:10's for manual
and 3:73's for automatic. But it's whatever the hell you want to do !!!!!!!

but aside from the noise issue i went through/am going through, the gears themselves are great! i chose the 4.10's and i love them. 2300 rpm @ 65mph on the highway, great accelleration arround town and on the highway, and another factor for me was that 3.73's probably wouldn't have been much different from the stock 3.55's my car came with. i wouldn't take a cross-country road trip with the new gears, but they fit my daily routine perfectly.
That's kind of what my thoughts were too. I don't want to have to shift so fast I lose time on the track, but at the same time I didn't think it would be worth the money to get 3:73's from the 3:55's. Thanks for the input guys. I will probably have the local Ford dealership install them.

with your mods @ the track and a stock size diameter tire you'll probably be to able stay in 3rd thru the traps if you go 3.73 and hit about 6400 RPM thru the traps with 4.10s you'll need 4th.
