I hope this link works https://mustangforums.com/m_437178/m.../tm.htm#437178

Sorry for the stupid question. But where is the vapor trap? I have added the K&N filter.

Thanks.
And if you're still not sure, look here (by the way, mine didn't come with one):

I'm like Don. burnout video

Believe it or not, that HC trap or emissions apparatus will net you between 4 and 6 rwhp. I've seen dyno charts that prove it. Your exhaust helps out a bit there as well. On top of that...some bone stock cars will dyno with a little bit more rwhp than the next.

Very nice burnout man!! I could watch videos like that all day... hehehe. A line loc is definitely on my list!!!

I just showed it to my wife. She likes the drags, but couldn't quite grasp the exactly how a line loc would help me on the burnouts (even though I explained it about 100 times). NOW she understands completely!! And with the auto tranny, it will help me even more!

Yea, I had a fun time explaining it to my wife as well. I just told here it's like an electric valve that you close after you put the brakes on. While all the other brake pressure is released, the valves keep the brake pressure on just the front brakes. Standing burnouts are hard on the brakes and the clutch without line locs. I went maybe 4 months on the stock clutch. This is at a rate of 3 burnouts a night (average) 2 nights a week (avg.) for those 4 months and 2 racing events that I did maybe 30 burnouts at these events. So to tally it up, the clutch lasted roughly 126 standing burnouts without line locs. What I like about the line locs is doing a 3rd gear burnout. I put it in 3rd, run the rpm's up to 5000 and let her rip!

Thank you for the link Daniel60. It answered some questions but created others.

1. With the Vapor Trap out and a replacement K&N filter will I need a tune?
2. Will it not pass emissions in my state?
3. Any idea why your Stang did not come with one don_w? - Thank you for the pic!

1. No, but it would improve your performance.
2. K&N filter shouldn't prevent you from passing your emission.
3. Ford stopped puting them in.

Thanks for the info guys. I'll probably be dropping in a K&N filter this weekend, and it's nice to know I won't need a tune just for changing an air filter
